Una tradizione antichissima legata alla lavorazione del tessuto più antico al Mondo: l’Orbace! L’incessante lavoro dei grandi magli in legno “craccavano” sbattevano la lana grezza sino a follarla, cioè renderla impermeabile! Il tutto avviene solo ed esclusivamente grazie alla forza dell’acqua che alimenta l’antico macchinario e il vicino mulino che ancora frantuma, grazie alla macina in pietra cereali locali! Il tutto è ospitato all’interno di un parco naturale di rara bellezza, tra boschi di leccio, nocciole, castagni attraversato dal torrente Tino. “Is Craccheras e Tziu Bellu, la gualchiera di Tziu Bellu, era una vera e propria industria che coinvolgeva tutto il piccolo paese e serviva il mondo agropastorale della zona che portava a follare la lana di pecora per ricavare “Su Gabbanu“, l’antico cappotto dei pastori per renderlo impermeabile. Le donne filavano la lana e la coloravano utilizzando gli antichi pigmenti ricavandoli dalle piante locali!
